The Milky Way Rising on Mt. St. Hellens Wa.

After hiking towards the crater of Mt St Helen’s I realized that the light was fading and that I just might have a fantastic chance to see the Milky Way and billions of stars.  I set up my gear and waited in the wind that kicked up more and more as it grew dark. The explosion of stars in the dark night sky was astounding to say the least! Watching the  Milky Way rise was incredible. Unfortunately right now the road to the observatory is washed out for several miles due to a storm and slide.
