Manistee Light
Manistee North Pier Lighthouse was originally built in 1869. This iteration was built in 1875 the light was moved to a small tower at the end of the south pier. It was at this time that an elevated walkway was built to provide access for the keeper in inclement weather. I loved and miss being able to travel around Michigan. The light houses of the Great Lakes are such an interesting part of the history of the Great Lakes.
